What kind of rinky-dink Cy young list does not include Zack Greinke. 1.55 ERA!!! Sure the Royals can't win when he's not on the mound, but he is the best pitcher in baseball right now.

Nick said...

Dude, he's the second name listed.

Nick said...

Also, Doc is the best pitcher in baseball.

If only Dan Haren could get some run support/not have his bullpen give up 6 run leads.

Doc is due for another well deserved Cy for sure.

A big reason I have Doc higher than Zack right now is the fact that Doc has one more start but 13 more IP than Zack and 1 less walk.

But really, it's neck and neck. Doc should get it because he was robbed last year and Zack should get it because he's finally, after all this time, put it together.

ESPN has Doc with a slight lead over Zack too. In the NL Broxton is getting a lot more love than I gave him, but I think starting pitchers should get more consideration that a closer.

Zack would have an undefeated record if his lazy ass team mates wouldn't give him 0-1 losses. Hit the ball damn Royals.

It bugs me. They have a bunch of young guys that can mash like Gordon and Aviles who are out and more that are just underperforming like Billy Butler (and Aviles before he got hurt). And their pitching staff is going to be the balls in a few years assuming they hold on to Greinke and Hochever and Davies continue to develop. it seems like they should be a lot better than they are.

And Bannister.

welcome to Doc's year last year...also the Jays roughed him up on Friday.

Nick said...

You watching this draft? The fucking Royals passed on Grant Green.

Nick said...

Jays just picked up another power sinker/slider guy. Good stuff.
